Care Advocates was founded by Margaret Ellis, RN, after more than two decades of bedside nursing, hospice work, and patient advocacy. Time and again she watched families face one of the hardest decisions of their lives — without a clinical guide they could trust.

What began as informal phone calls to friends and former patients grew into a dedicated practice. Today, Care Advocates pairs deep clinical knowledge with the warmth of a family friend — translating medical complexity into clear, calm guidance.

We believe families deserve more than a list of communities. They deserve an advocate who listens, asks the right questions, and stays beside them long after move-in day.
